This week’s Friday photo challenge is ‘sweet’. I have to admit to having a very sweet tooth. Sweet things are my downfall.
This beautiful cake was very sweet and was made to celebrate a family wedding we went to last year.
And now for something completely different, and very sweet…
…this was one of the yarnbombed bollards outside the Yarndale festival 2016. The bollards were created by the Thirsk Yarnbombers for the festival.
Next week’s photo challenge is : clock.
Normally on the first week of a new month I include a monthly round-up of everyone else’s photo challenge entries, but as I’ve been away on holiday recently I haven’t had the chance to do that. The March monthly round-up will happen next week instead.
Strange I know but I don’t like sweets, hardly ever eat chocolate and avoid sugar as much as possible. However the word ‘sweet’ makes me think of my trip to Japan and all things ‘Kawaii’ which means cute in Japanese, and you here is said a lot. To enter your challenge here is an archive post from my trip to Japan ( I LOVED Japan!!!) : https://daffodilwild.wordpress.com/2015/12/02/japan-day-two2/
Thanks for joining in Sandra. 😊
My goodness I had no idea about this tradition for children in Japan, how fascinating. Beautiful photos Sandra, Japan is definitely on my bucket list 😊
Oh do go if you can – it is absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere is hard to explain, but it is calm and friendly and beautiful. Something to do with having Buddhism at its centre I suspect. And the fabric shops!!! Wow! If you go only take the clothes you stand up in and an empty suitcase – you will want to bring loads back!!!
Now you’re really tempting me, I had no idea about the fabric shops!!!
No sweet tooth here so, although the cake looks beautiful, my teeth are hurting just looking at it! The yarn bomb is sweet indeed, though. We are thinking of going this year again, and making a long weekend of it.
Oh I’m very jealous! Please take lots of photos if you do go to Yarndale. My job limits my weekends off so they are spent on holidays with family this year. Perhaps next year though…. I’d love to go back 😊
